Sometimes your system may generate an error code indicating that the modem needs to be reinstalled. There can be many reasons for this problem.
- Open the control panel, then display (in the classic version) the phone and modem settings.
- Go to “Modems” tab then select the decoder you want to reinstall.
- Click Delete. Click “Yes” or “OK” to confirm the specified distance, and then close all windows.

<p>Windows ME users will likely need to reinstall Dial-Up Networking if they want to re-add the Dial-Up Adapter panel to Network Control. Try completely uninstalling and reinstalling all dial-up related components, excluding the modem.</p>

The ISP had to provide important information needed to finally set up your account: at least a personal phone number for access, for security (if needed), special account management software (if needed), and greatth setting (pop3 -e- mail information, then group news information about encryption or compression settings, and many other settings). Your ISP will be sure to provide answers to these types of configuration and help you make expected Windows changes if you haven’t already.</p>

<p>Yes, you can still use a dial-up Internet connection if you have a dial-up connection, a modem, and access to a dial-up ISP. However, as more and more online tasks like video streaming and web browsing become more intense, a high-speed Internet connection, if available, can come in handy.</p>

<p>Unplug the phone cord from the device and connect it to a regular (non-analogue digital) phone. When used in a vehicle, the telephone wire must bewalk straight from the phone socket here (on the wall or on the floor) to become a phone.</p>
