ASR Pro: The #1 software for fixing Windows errors
Over the past few days, some of our readers have come across a well-known error message in which the kernel image cannot be found. This problem can arise for several reasons. Let’s discuss this below. zhidao.baidu.com Image: zhidao.baidu.com Kernel style error: Linux usually occurs when installing Linux on USB sticks, and if syslinux cannot find the configuration, run syslinux.cfg. This configuration file is used to tell syslinux where to find the kernel image and individual initrd files.
I have a corrupted version of Windows 7 installed on my computer and I can no longer start it. I back up all my data to a good SSD so nothing gets lost. I thought this was the perfect time to try Ubuntu. I’ve created a bootable USB stick with PendriveLinux and my 8GB USB stick is almost certainly ready. I went into the BIOS boot menu and pulled out a USB stick. The screen turned green for a second, then a lot of text appeared.

- Removing the image did not help (it means that the configuration file was not found).
- I have used pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3to make USB bootable.

Is the kernel part of the image?
The kernel itself is always a vision, which at some point is loaded into memory and called directly.

Failed to get kernel image: Linux usually requires Linux to be installed on a USB stick when syslinux cannot find the syslinux.cfg configuration file. This filesystem is used to tell syslinux that it has a kernel image and initrd documents. In the next chapter, we will cover some basic things to look out for if you encounter this shoe and boots defect.
Use the troubleshooting guide below to resolve the error.

Download “Rufus” monitor program to create bootable USB or CD from Ubuntu ISO file. Sequence or selection of manual start. It seems to be very well compatible with Linux operating systems.

Where is Linux kernel image located?
You can use uname -3rd r to find out which version you are still using, and then look in / boot for a new file with that ID. You can also use dog / proc / cmdline to find the kernel path. Note, however, that this path is a member of the boot-time family of root images, so / is probably usually / boot / on a running system.
If none of the above helped you, I have NOT renamed the isolinux.cfg file to syslinux.cfg in the isolinux folder. The logical reason not to rename it is that the experts point out syslinux. cfg already exists in a different directory and in a completely unique .cfg file (this may have changed with program updates, the universal USB installer and the way it is used to populate USB drives with data).I

Please note that the normal syslinux.cfg (in the uui folder) is actually populated by the installer and the software package is NOT from the downloaded .iso data, and therefore needs to be changed / adapted for each individual process in the list explaining why Some of the site works without customization, while others have problems. When your company opens the syslinux .cfg file on a piece of paper, etc., you will find that the entire directory calls for some sort of /isolinux/isolinux.cfg site directory to start early (ideally before starting). for redirectedThe Linux change to a real boot file, because it is usually stored outside the standard sectors that Linux looks for the sneaker file, but because it is in the uui folder and does not contain any of the three places Linux systems have to boot, there is no such thing as the missing one.
Where is kernel image in Ubuntu?
The kernel file is stored in your / boot folder in Ubuntu and is medically called the vmlinuz version.
So go to the uui folder and copy your main copy of the syslinux.cfg file to that file, go back to the best level of your USB stick where some of the program folders and text files should normally show up and paste the .cfg file into the top level of your USB -key. I used FAT32 form and 64 bit version.
